It’s vintage time again, it only comes around once a year and another one has begun with anticipation of what will be. So far it has been very positive in the whites.
Our picture shows a small bunch of Chardonnay grapes going through the crushing and pressing process and what finally remains, the Marc.
Along the way there is the bystanders; Rick and Chris who are checking on the press progress. There is Jack who is greasing the appropriate nipples on the crusher, while Beata is shovelling up the mess that occurs frequently. But wait, there is Allan who always maintains a vigilant eye on proceedings.
After 8 vintages this will be Allan’s last vintage as he and Michelle will be selling up their farm and moving closer to their children and grandchildren. We would like to thank Allan for his consistent hard work, we will all miss you!
